New Firmware 3.0 for the UPS PIco HV1.0 and HV1.1

Hi, we are finally going to release the new Firmware 3.0 for the UPS PIco HV1.0 and HV1.1 based in 80 % on the new PIco HV3.0 firmware. It will be based on same Daemons.
Our questions are the following
1. We are planning to use the new addresses and allocations for the registers sets, that will cause users will need to re-write their
2. We will release an old firmware (still working with the old python script), adopted to the new kernel 4.9 no other changes will be implemented on this firmware

As the final firmware for the HV3.0 is mostly ready, we are going to copy most of it to the old PIco. Please write here any ideas or opinions about the ongoing developments. We expect to release it before 15 of September

The most important thing is that you release a new firmware (compatible with 4.9 kernel) as soon as possible. Please no more delays...

Therefore option 1 should be preferred.

Hi,

On August 10, a probable release date of September 15 was announced. We have October 15 now

I will be visiting one of my remote installations in one week (about 800km from where I live) It would be nice if a new firmware would be available at that time, so I can perform the update while I am there.

Any chance it will be released by then, or should we simply give up waiting and look for another solution?

seems that this project is abandoned...

no info, no post, nothing for very long time....

and the fw update never see any daylight, only a postponed date....

Hi,
It is ready, just under hard testing a long time already. There ware some issues that was needed a hard testing with batteries and RTC reported directly to us.
Project has been not abandoned, a new version(s) of hardware and new products are under preparation

It seems that this project is definitely abandond. pimaster always promises a new firmware ("finally going to release...") but there is NO new release.
It´s a shame, but it seems that it is time to look for other products.
